I’m Interviewed for Hazel Kahan’s ‘North Fork Works’ Radio Show

If you can stand it, here’s a half hour of me talking about wine, Long Island wine and politics.

Hazel Kahan is an artist who lives on the North Fork. I met her about 15 years ago when I started writing for the local papers on the North Fork. We talk about my book, Behind the Bottle: The Rise of Wine on Long Island, how it came about and the characters in the story. We also cover my wine education at International Wine Center, where I finished the four levels of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust’s program.

She was also interested in my activism since last November’s election. I started a closed Facebook group, Let’s Visit Lee Zeldin, to secure a town hall with our congressman, who represents the East End of Long Island. It hasn’t happened yet. But we’re still trying! We have 2,800 members and growing.
